Vril\u00e5sens senteravstander for vanlige 20 fot, 40 fot og 45 fot containere er gitt i tabell 1 og 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>En viktig designdetalj<\/strong>45-fots containeren har hj\u00f8rnest\u00f8pegods b\u00e5de i 40-fotsposisjonen (11 985 mm senteravstand) og i full 45-fotsposisjonen (13 509 mm). Dette kombineres med en h\u00f8ydekode \u2013 for eksempel er en 45 fots universalcontainer kodet 1EE eller 2EE, hvor \u00ab1\u00bb = Serie 1 (internasjonal intermodal) og \u00ab2\u00bb = Serie 2 (innlands multimodal).
