KUANGSHAN CRANE Supports Panhua Group’s 4.5-Million-Ton Intelligent Hot-Rolled Steel Project Successfully Put Into Operation

On October 18, the commissioning ceremony for Panhua Group’s 4.5-million-ton Intelligent Hot-Rolled Steel Project, undertaken by Chongqing Panhua Sheet Co., Ltd., was grandly held. Chongqing Vice Mayor Zheng Xiangdong, local government leaders, and representatives from hundreds of domestic and international suppliers and partners attended the event.

All 34 sets of 10-ton to 100-ton double girder overhead cranes supplied by KUANGSHAN CRANE have been successfully delivered and put into operation.

Panhua Group’s Wanda Sheet Company, located in Fuling, is the largest enterprise in the region in terms of output value and has made significant contributions to local economic and social development. The Group’s new large-scale investment—a 4.5-million-ton intelligent hot-rolling project—will generate an annual output value of over 20 billion RMB after reaching full capacity. This marks another successful example of deep cooperation between Panhua and Fuling, and serves as a powerful driver for Fuling’s goal of building a 100-billion-level materials industry cluster and becoming the “No. 1 Materials Manufacturing Hub” in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

The Panhua hot-rolling project has set multiple industry records and milestones in the Chinese steel sector. Its construction speed ranks first in the industry—taking just over eight months from groundbreaking to commissioning, compared with the usual 2–3 years. Under traditional conditions, commissioning a production line of this scale typically requires around two months, yet this project achieved a successful startup in a single ignition attempt.

The project’s technical equipment and intelligent manufacturing capability have reached world-class levels. A traditional hot-rolling line requires more than 1,000 workers; however, this project needs only six operators at the control panel. No workers are required along the production line, achieving a truly unmanned “dark factory.”
