Electromotive Mill Backup Roll Tongs

Used for lifting single rolls to and from grinding machines in a rolling mill’s grinding workshop and for transporting single rolls. This lifting device features the following characteristics:

• The clamp is controlled by an electric mechanism to open and close the clamping jaws. During operation, the pins on the clamping legs align with the roll’s side pin holes, and the positioning plates at both ends of the lift ensure the correct relative position between the pins and the holes.

• The inner contact area of the lifting device is lined with nylon plates and limit sensors to ensure no indentations are left on the roll during contact.

• Design specifications require providing drawings of the single roll and relevant dimensions of the pin holes.

• The shape and installation reference dimensions should be designed according to the roll’s shape and pin dimensions.
