MINING WEEK is the largest and most influential industrial exhibition in Central Asia covering the entire mining industry chain. Organized by TNT EXPO, LLP, supported by the Ministry of Industry of Kazakhstan and the Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises (AGMP), it was founded in 1995 and UFI Approved. It serves as a key platform for procurement, technical exchange and industrial cooperation.
Karaganda is a major mining hub of Kazakhstan, where the Karaganda Coal Basin is the main coking coal supplier. The region gathers large coal, electricity and metal enterprises. Kazakhstan boasts abundant mineral resources with high global shares of chromium, manganese, iron, copper and other ores, and mining is a pillar of its economy. Local mining equipment is outdated and domestic manufacturing is weak, creating huge demand for imported equipment and broad market space for Chinese high-end equipment.
