KUANGSHAN and Youfa Group Deepen Cooperation as Guangxi Base Opens in Qinzhou Port

kuangshan youfa guangxi opening ceremony

Overhead crane performance took centre stage on October 28, when KUANGSHAN President Wei Xueming was invited to the opening ceremony of Youfa Group’s Guangxi base and delivered a speech on site. The event marked another milestone of two-way empowerment and win-win cooperation between the two long-term partners.

The new base sits in the Qinzhou Port area, a location chosen to serve South China and the ASEAN markets beyond it. For KUANGSHAN, the ceremony was also a chance to see its own equipment at work: overhead crane units supplied for the pipe lines are already in daily service inside the plant.

A Ceremony That Marks a New Stage

Speaking at the ceremony, Youfa Group Chairman Li Maojin noted that the new base, located in the Qinzhou Port area and oriented toward ASEAN markets, is a strategic move in Youfa’s expansion into South China. Over the years, KUANGSHAN has supported the efficient operation of Youfa’s production bases with reliable lifting equipment and dependable service, and the two companies have built deep mutual trust. He expressed the expectation that the ceremony would serve as a new starting point for closer cooperation in equipment supply and industrial-chain synergy, as the two sides jointly explore the South China and ASEAN markets.

KUANGSHAN Overhead Cranes Inside the Pipe Workshop

KUANGSHAN and Youfa Group have been strategic partners for many years. Guided by the principles of market mutual trust, product complementarity, joint progress and win-win cooperation, the two companies have built a solid foundation of collaboration in equipment supply and industrial-chain coordination. Youfa’s new investment in the Qinzhou Port area, rooted in the Beibu Gulf and reaching out to ASEAN, opens broader space for deepening that partnership. At the new base, KUANGSHAN overhead cranes, including 80-tonne double girder units, are already serving the pipe production lines.

A double girder overhead crane is the workhorse of a pipe plant. It lifts steel coils and finished pipe bundles, moves them between production bays and feeds the storage yard without interrupting the line. In a facility designed around continuous output, every lift has to be predictable, which is why the crane specification, duty class and service network matter as much as the equipment itself.

Why Overhead Crane Reliability Matters in Pipe Production

Pipe manufacturing runs on rhythm. Raw strip arrives as coils weighing several tonnes, is formed and welded into pipe, then bundled and stacked for dispatch. Each of those handovers depends on a crane that starts, travels and positions without hesitation. When a crane stops, the line behind it stops too, and the cost is measured in delayed deliveries rather than in spare parts.

That is why KUANGSHAN treats every lifting project as a service commitment rather than a single shipment. Spare parts availability, remote diagnostics and locally trained technicians are planned from the start, so that a crane commissioned today still performs at its rated capacity years later. For a group that runs production across thirteen bases, that consistency is what turns a supplier into a partner.

South China and ASEAN: The Next Chapter

Going forward, the two parties will continue to leverage their respective industrial strengths to deepen cooperation, jointly support infrastructure construction and industrial upgrading in South China, and embark on a new journey of growth toward the sea as a strong alliance.

For buyers watching the region, the opening of the Qinzhou Port base is a useful signal. Steel pipe capacity is shifting south, closer to deep-water shipping and to the markets of Southeast Asia, and the crane fleet behind it has to be specified for a longer duty cycle than an inland plant would demand. KUANGSHAN will keep supporting that shift with lifting solutions engineered for continuous production, and with a service presence that keeps every lift on schedule.
