The RMG container gantry crane designed and manufactured by Henan Kuangshan Crane for the Kenya Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project has been successfully put into use. On May 31, 2022, the Mombasa to Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation, celebrated its fifth anniversary of official operation. As a key project under the China-Africa friendly cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative, the SGR is the largest infrastructure project in Kenya since its independence. Over the past five years, the SGR has transported a total of 7.785 million passengers and 1.773 million TEUs of containers. Kenya SGR Nairobi to Mombasa Railway

This modern railway, built with Chinese standards, technology, and equipment, has accelerated Kenya’s modernization, promoted its economic and social development, facilitated the transfer of Chinese railway technology, and boosted transportation and trade development across East Africa.
