Based on the traditional electromagnetic lifting beam crane, KUANGSHAN CRANE customized, developed, and manufactured an automated steel plate transfer crane for SANY Heavy Industry.

Intelligent workflow: Thin steel plates first pass through the plate conveying and leveling platform, where they are straightened and accurately positioned. The steel plate handling crane automatically moves above the plate, uses vacuum suction to lift it, and then the safety hook locks the bottom of the plate to prevent dropping caused by power failure or other unexpected situations. The crane transfers the steel plate precisely to the target station, automatically lowers it, and releases the safety hook, after which the plate enters the next processing stage.

Adjustable lifting device: When handling wide steel plates, the crane can automatically adjust the spacing of the vacuum suction cups to ensure safer lifting. Users can choose between automatic or manually adjustable vacuum lifting devices according to production requirements. When handling thick steel plates, the crane uses electromagnetic lifting. At this time, according to the configuration, the vacuum suction cups are automatically or manually raised to prevent wear during electromagnetic handling, thereby extending the service life of the lifting device.

Safety assurance: During the electromagnetic automated handling process, the safety hook continues to function, ensuring safe production.

The intelligent steel plate handling overhead crane is used in the coil project of Shandong Iron and Steel Group Rizhao Co., Ltd.

The project produces approximately 1.3 million tons of steel plates per year. During the finished product collection and stacking process, traditional cranes were inefficient and severely restricted production capacity. To alleviate the huge production pressure, KUANGSHAN CRANE was finally adopted.

This intelligent steel plate crane is a new product independently designed and developed by KUANGSHAN CRANE. Its launch broke the technical monopoly of foreign crane manufacturers in this field and filled a provincial gap.

With a large lifting capacity and a highly integrated automatic control system, it can handle multiple layers of steel plates simultaneously, providing strong support for the full operation of the rolling production line.
